About Us

Caboolture & District Animal Welfare Inc is an incorporated Association established in 1992.

CADAWI as we are known, has the following objectives:

  1. Promotion of Animal Welfare
  2. Caring and rehoming for stray and relinquished domestic animals
  3. Developing programs for desexing of companion animals

What We Do

CADAWI is registered as a “not for profit” organisation with the Australian Tax Office and is operated by Volunteers. Any donations made to the Association are tax deductible.

Primarily, CADAWI operates an “in home” foster care program for small to medium sized dogs and domestic cats.

CADAWI operates a subsidised desexing and microchipping program for pensioners.

We work with those in the community that don’t have the means to care for their own pets, by offering free animal food and discounted desexing. This includes the homeless as well as those struggling to make ends meet.

The Association obtains its funding through the operation of two “Op Shops“. These are located at 2/11 Pasturage Road, Caboolture, and at Shop 1/60 Hornsby Road, Bribie Island.

CADAWI makes regular donations to kindred animal organisations so the rescue work can better operate in the wider parts of south east Queensland.
