Lost Animals

CADAWI is not involved in the search for lost animals. Some contact points are:

Local Vets

Ring the local vets in your area. Often vets are the point where people who find lost animals will hand them in. If you find a stray animal, vets will also often check the microchip number. Once you have the number, follow the links below to the Microchip registries.

Wildlife Emergencies

In case of a wildlife emergency, we recommend contacting the following organisations:

1300 ANIMAL – manned by RSPCA staff, they use a database of rehabilitators, rescuers, council agencies and organisations state wide in order to find someone who can assist.

Australia Zoo – If you are within close proximity to Australia Zoo, call their 24-hour Wildlife Hospital on 1300 369 652.
